In spite of topping the ISL table, FC Goa management has decided to part ways with their highly successful coach Sergio Lobera. Rumours are they have issued him a termination letter.
The Spaniard was in his third year at the club and had already led the team to a semi-final finish in 2017-18 season, runnersup in 2018-19 and their first ever trophy – The Hero Super Cup.
Although it has not been officially announced, according to various media outlets, there were some differences between FC Goa Management and the Coach Sergio Lobera. Some say he lost the dressing room and some of the players wanted him out. Today’s training session also was canceled.
Another source says that Lobera wasn’t allowed to sign the 7th foreigner due to which he was angry with the management.
According to some FC Goa fans if this turns out to be true, it will be a Dark day for Goan Football and Indian Football. Some fans are even contemplating boycotting the next game.
